Doctor Advises Women To Stop Putting Garlic In Their Vaginas & Twitter Reaction Is Making ROFL!

We often look for a home remedy for any disease, thinking of that it will have any side effect and something we come to get advice which is not appropriate. Putting oil in the nose can help in opening the passage of the nose but it has many side effects with which we may not aware of. Talking about a recent incident, a top gynecologist has brutally thrashed the old wives’ tales which recommend putting garlic cloves in the vagina for three straight days for some improbable benefits. The renowned gynecologist, Dr. Jen Gunter went on a Twitter rant to cut the frills of myths and facts of using garlic cloves to get rid of vaginal yeast infections.

The doctor based in California felt pity to be elaborating on such a superstitious myth in a modern era of the 21st century.

Speaking about why you should not put the garlic in your vagina, she inscribed, “Garlic contains allicin, in THE LAB it MAY have antifungal (i.e. anti-yeast) properties. This is in a lab, not even in mice. Just a dish of cells. Your vagina is not a dish of cells. Lots of vaginal garlic aficionados (I SHOULDN’T HAVE TO TWEET THAT IN 2019, BUT HERE WE ARE) recommend inserting a clove. This means they don’t understand for allicin to be released the garlic has to be cut or crushed. Sigh.”

” which grows inside the soil may have bacteria from the soil that can be pathogenic and bad for the body. So there’s no way garlic cloves can help you in getting rid of the infection but can surely cause one”, she added.

“As 50-70% of women who self treat for vaginal yeast never actually had a yeast infection you can’t say much, except half of them never had yeast, to begin with so the irritation they had may have been a temporary thing and resolving wasn’t garlic related,” she added further.

Other such bizarre “home remedies” for vaginal include lemon juice to acidify the vagina or yogurt owing to its bacteria content which is believed to be helpful in maintaining the good bacterial population in the vagina.

Vagina is one of the most sensitive parts of women body which should be taken proper care and prone to injections. None of any myth treatment should be implemented without proper medical guidance.

Netizens chose to say in their own troll freak about the doctor’s advice. Some have trolled the idea of ‘vaginal garlic’ while others have come up with hilarious dilemmas to it:
